Tailored and exclusively for Public Safety Personnel and Military, this comprehensive program is designed to explore the unique organizational and operational challenges/stressors faced on a daily basis. Support an ongoing mental wellness journey through evidence-based experiences, and a in-person/online hybrid model.

This hybrid program delivered at an equine farm is designed for Public Safety Personnel, Military Members, and their Families. It incorporates key leadership principles from Linda Kohanov’s The Power of the Herd and The Five Roles of a Master Herder to promote emotional intelligence, leadership skills, and personal growth in a flexible learning environment. Stephen M.R. Covey’s Trust and Inspire’s key principles and concepts are also included. The program can be customized depending on the group attending. For example, if the group were comprised of personnel off on a leave of sorts, the program would have this focus.

Leadership & Emotional Resilience: Learn strategies to manage personal emotions and understand the emotional dynamics of others, based on concepts like the Emotional Message Chart and Polyvagal Theory.

The Five Roles of a Master Herder: Explore and understand the balance between the five roles—Dominant, Leader, Nurturer/Companion, Sentinel, and Predator—within personal and professional leadership contexts.

Biopsychosocial Approach: Using biometrics, equine-assisted therapy, and peer-led reintegration

Video Modules & Learning Materials: Participants will progress through structured modules that introduce leadership and wellness concepts, including video lessons and accompanying learning materials.

Practical Application: Activities and reflective exercises to apply leadership and wellness strategies in real-life scenarios, enhancing the ability to lead in high-stress environments.

Reintegration Concepts: Activities and reflective exercises based on Edmonton Police Service’s Reintegration After Critical Incident and Long Term Leave programming.
The hybrid 4-week program combines in-person and online support, accommodating those who need flexibility.
